Without a doubt the toughest schedule in the state among 3A teams belongs to the Union Yellow Jackets. Never one to back down from a challenge, the Yellow Jacket slate features games against 5 teams that have won state titles this century.
With the changes to Class 3A region and alignment this year, most teams
will play only 3 non region games. The result is the tougher schedules will
come from the region that are rated higher since the region slate now makes
up 70% of the overall schedule.
Not near as tough as last year due to the expansion to 8 team regions. Union drops York and Fairfield in order to play the 7 region games. Still an opening 3 games against Dorman, Gaffney and Spartanburg are brutal. Games against Clinton and Greer makes the schedule a challenge each almost each week.
